The Perfect Pumpkin Spice Latte
Autumn is my favorite time of year, for many reasons, one being the ever-popular PSL (pumpkin spice latte). I decided to find a way to make my own pumpkin spice lattes at home, without all the artificial sweeteners and super sugars from the coffee stand.
So, here's how to make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte at home, naturally flavored and sweetened, and usually less than $5 a cup.
Start with a good espresso machine.
Use freshly ground, high quality coffee.
Sprinkle a little (or a lot of) pumpkin pie spice on your grounds.
Steam some half and half for that creamy, pumpkin pie taste & texture.
High-pressured espresso makes beautiful crema.
A touch of honey adds a little sweetness (you can also use maple syrup for added flavor).
Sprinkle on a little vanilla sugar.
Sip from your favorite mug in the coziness of your PJs.
